I know exactly where you are right now, because I’ve been right where you are.
I spent most of my life running from one task to the next without realizing that it was a choice not a requirement. I wore my exhaustion from productivity like a badge of honor. And then one day my adrenal system nearly shut down and I was utterly depleted. I had no energy and was filled with debilitating anxiety and a lot of fear. And suddenly every thought I had was uncharacteristically negative. I’m not saying I don’t have negative thoughts. I do. But this was way beyond normal and it was incredibly draining.
One of the first things I did to restore myself was to change the way I was thinking.
I began my day by filling my mind with positive things like podcasts and motivational audios/videos. I stopped watching the news and only watched comedies or things that were uplifting. Hallmark Channel became my new best friend! A few other changes I made were to stay hydrated throughout the day, make sleep a priority, and reconnected with friends and family members that
I had lost touch with through my busyness.
Restoring my health from what I truly believe was my wellness-rock-bottom has been a journey I wouldn’t trade for anything. It’s why I feel so passionately about helping others find their way back to their balanced well-being.
